Got a second hand GWM-5610, considered as not working by the seller. After few minutes the watch started with just this screen, all other functions are not available and buttons are not responding. The CHG indicator on the left is blinking.
I've had to put Citizen watches (for instance) in sunlight for multiple days for full functionality. Also, it's possible that the button isn't making full contact with the movement inside. Might be worth popping open and pressing the Adjust button to make sure of good contact. Nice looking watch btw!

Casio G-shock: Too many to 'flippin count! Casio Protrek/Pathfinder: PRW-2500R-1, PRW-3100FC-1JF, PRW-50YAE-2JR, Frogman buttons work under 100m worth of pressure. This is something different. It's impossible to change the battery and not effect the water resistance. Besides the gasket dries out and should have some silicone applied every couple of years usually coincident with battery change. Casio can't do anything for you. You need to go back to whoever changed the battery. Don't expect much though because I'm sure they got this

So an inadvertent press on the 5600 would go into adjusting timekeeping, which would be unfortunate. So it's designed to be shorter and harder to press. Unhappy-Rub-9892.

For some reason, sometimes the lip is under the button (can be from the factory). As you see on the right picture, the button can sometimes make contacht by pushing real hard.
